What You Can Do

Accept Difference wants people with disability and their families to feel genuinely accepted and involved in their communities.

As a starting point to becoming a more inclusive community, we are calling on the general public and businesses of the Mid North Coast of NSW to give inclusion a go through practicing inclusive actions in day to day life, or by becoming an inclusive business.

There are many ways to get involved in the cause:

  • Nominate a business or individual for outstanding efforts regarding inclusion.
  • Interact with us on social media by using #acceptdifference
  • Participate in a local inclusion event.

Nominate an Accept Difference Champion
(business or individual)

Accept Difference is always searching for stories to share that are examples of what inclusion can look like.

Do you know an individual or business that is making a difference in your community when it comes to accepting disability?

Nominate your champion below and, with their consent, we can work towards sharing their story.
Nominated businesses will be added to our interactive map.

Use the hashtag
#acceptdifference on social media

It would be great to share ideas of what accepting difference can look like. If we can reach more people via social media, that will help spread awareness and create a more inclusive community.

Support the campaign by posting comments and photos that show positive and empowering experiences relating to disability and inclusion. Use the hashtag #acceptdifference or tag us so we can see your posts and share them on our own social media pages.

Please follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Through these social media channels, we will continue to promote that people with disability are following their aspirations, living lives that are integrated in the community and filled to the brim with ordinary pleasures.
